Working parent stereotype
This has been an odd, and, exhausting week at work, mostly due to people’s end of the year deadlines that have somehow translated into emergencies for me.
In fact, I told my husband that I felt like I was in some video game where the player was launching stuff at me to see if they could get to the “next level”.
Then, the rest of the day shaped up just as weird, and, I was seriously ready to get home for the weekend and stay here. Perhaps sit in my closet under a blanket so no one could find me?
But, I also found myself unable to muster much energy to do anything with the kids. I sure have been rocking the stereotype of an exhausted working parent this evening.
