Working on a holiday
Lest you think I didn’t live through the basketball team spending the night, I did, but, it did involve me being up at 3:30 in the morning to try to get them to be quiet and settle down.
Good thing I took off from work, eh?
Anyway, for many people, the holidays are in full swing, but, some folks still have to work.
I’m a nurse, I’ve been one of those people working on the holiday, and, my family has had to make adjustments.
Though my current job doesn’t involve working when everyone else is celebrating with family, I just wanted to take a quick moment to salute those health care workers, fire and police personnel, air traffic controllers, and, everyone whose career must keep things going while the rest of us relax and celebrate.
