What is this “home alone” of which you speak?
(Stalkers, and, potential stalkers, don’t read)
My family is gone overnight tonight. I don’t have to do the all too familiar to working parents, “Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go”, thing after work.
No, not the potty, I mean the mad dash to get home to feed/wash/catch various children, animals, and, household items. I can drive home slowly, stop where I want to stop, and, eat popcorn for dinner.
I’m not sure if I’m terribly lonely, or, terribly excited.
I figure it won’t happen again for 14 or so more years, so, I should either sit on the couch, or, get a ton of things done around the house.
This is a lot of pressure. I’ll let you know what I decide.

One night last week, the kids were with their dad and I read magazines and ate popcorn for dinner, and had a beer. And it was lovely, and only slightly guilt-producing.

It’s a nice place to visit, but I wouldn’t want to live there.
