Super Mom Saves the World
The latest book from my friend Melanie Lynne Hauser comes out March 6th! It’s all about a working mom, even though her job as a superhero may be a bit different from yours or mine, even super heroes have to raise their kids, and, have trouble wearing heels all day.
Super Mom Saves the World is the long awaited sequel to Confessions of Super Mom and continues the adventures of Birdie Lee, the divorced mother of two teenagers, and, the victim of a horrible Swiffer accident that left her with extraordinary cleaning powers, and, the ability to sense when kids are in danger, resulting in her secret identity of full fledged superhero: Super Mom.
In Super Mom Saves the World, we find Birdie questioning the construction and shady dealings of a new Little League park in her town. She’s also a bit concerned since she is hearing voices coming from common kitchen items, but, she receives support from her best friend, and, fellow grocery store cashier, whose secret identity is the Justice League’s therapist to the super heroes.
On the other hand, she is dealing with her engagement, the renewed interest in her by her ex-husband, a teen daughter who dyed her hair pink, and, her teen son who is newly in love.
Just another day in the life of a working parent.
