Really out of office?
Here’s a time management tip I never really thought of:
According to BBC Magazine, workers stressed out over the volume of e-mail they receive are putting up “out of office ” messages to screen incoming e-mails, and, hope that people don’t expect responses from them.
This “out of office” trickery is seen as survival for some workers who work high stress jobs and receive hundreds of e-mails a day.
Even if you think it’s dishonest, the article at least has some examples of creative “out of office” replies.
I don’t think I’d get very far with this at my job, as I only work with 2 other people, and, one of them is my boss.
