Overheard

I was walking down the street today, and, a lady behind me was discussing Daylight Saving Time with her companion:

Lady: “So, we lost an hour, right?”
Companion: “Yeah, we did.”
Lady: “Does that mean it gets darker earlier now?”
Companion: “No, it’s Daylight Saving Time, we get more light.”
Lady: “Oh, do I have to leave work earlier?”
Companion: “…”
Lady: “The kids! I’m going to have to pick them up earlier from school!”

I’m thinking I don’t want her near my career, nor my kids.
