Late night Sunday
Currently wondering: why do I persist in staying up too late on Sunday night?
I make sure to get the kids to bed earlier (sometimes) on Sunday to start the week off right, I usually try to prepare lunches and books and things to be ready to go out the door and I make sure we have clean clothes for the week. (You will, however, note that there is no mention of “folded” or “put away”.)
My own week at home and work would go much more smoothly if I went to bed earlier to practice what I preach about “starting the week off right”. I even promise myself that “next Sunday” I’ll go to bed really early.
Maybe I’m trying to squeeze one last bit of the weekend out of the day. Or, maybe I feel like I “deserve” this time to myself after running to and from from Friday night onward.
I really don’t know.
It’s not that I dread going to work, but, I tend to plan the week ahead in my mind, and, that activity seems to involuntarily happen on Sunday night, thus keeping me awake.
I don’t know, I suspect I’m not the only one with Sunday Bedtime Procrastination Disorder, though, because I’ll bet at least one of you is here reading this right now.
Go to bed!
I’ll do the same.

Ha, you caught me. I’m so tired I can barely hold my head up, but I’m just “checking a few things on the computer” before I go to bed. That was an hour ago. I agree, it’s an attempt to extend the weekend just a wee bit longer. Ok, good night.

Yep. An attempt to extend the weekend, because I don’t want to start a new week, you know, with the five days of going to and from work. Ugh.
