Fat, Forty and Fired
Fat, Forty and Fired by Nigel Marsh is the story of one man’s journey through raising children, the loss of a high powered job, major surgery, and the realization that work, rather than his family, had dominated his life.
His year off following these events was a life changing experience as he realized that he needed to change some things in his work-life balance.

Well I would red your blog, if I had a career and kids. I didn’t mean any offense to you. I was just being silly. Your blog is probably far more valuable to your target audience than mine.

I should probably take a look at this as by your description, it is a similar story to my own. Only it was 9/11 that caused me to find myself jobless.
Oh, and congrats on the recognition, regardless of what the clueless Edgar has to say, it is well deserved.

I am fat, fired and fifty. Lost my job in a dental office. They hired a slim young woman in here late teens or early 20s. It is unfair and insulting. I am looking into taking legal action.
