Emergency Bake Sale Recipe
“I need to bring 2 dozen of something to school for the bake sale tomorrow.”
If your house is like mine, this conversation is initiated around 10pm on a school night, and, you have to be at work early the next morning.
You can easily keep the ingredients for this quick recipe for blond brownies in stock to use in case of emergency:
2 eggs
1/3 cup oil
1 box yellow cake mix
chocolate chips
Combine the above, and, spread in a lightly greased baking pan. The size depends on how thick you want the brownies to be. Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes, do not overbake, or, they get dry and crunchy.
As a matter of fact, I just had to use it a few nights ago.
