Coach attends basketball game 5 hours after giving birth
Match this career dedication:
The mucous warriors ain’t got nothing on Coach Carol Russell, the coach of the Nebraska-Kearny girls basketball team. Russell attended the team’s tournament game, a mere 5 hours after giving birth.
Quite the introduction to balancing career and kids, I’d say.

I had to ponder this for a couple of days, because I really wasn’t sure how I felt about it. And to be honest… I still don’t.
Sure you can talk about the “grit” and “determination” and “dedication” that must have been required for her to do this.
But, I can’t help but wonder about words like, “priority” and “nurturing.”
When my daughter was born, even after having been at the hospital for umpteen hours, I did not wish to leave her (yes and my wife) there to go home and get a couple of hours of sleep, let alone go and do “something else.”
Maybe it is just me. Most posts I have seen on this laud her abilities… I think I found her to be mostly callous. (Amazingly strong, and strong willed… but callous).
