Cashmere Mafia and the working mother

by elizabeth on January 10th, 2008

Cashmere Mafia is a TV show about a group of successful female executives who juggle their family and careers in New York.

It’s gotten mixed reviews, but, Self Made Mom balks at the notion of how a “regular working mom” is stereotyped. Go read her take on how the ubiquitous “Mommy Wars” are portrayed in the show.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a conference call (you have to read her entry to get that, and, it may turn out that I’m not all that funny even when you do read it).

1 opinion for Cashmere Mafia and the working mother

I watched it with sort of a half interest last night, and missed the mommy war scene. After watching that I caught an old SATC where Miranda was about 5 months pregnant. My real thought after both shows was “what is the reality that I would still be best friends with three or four women that were not married and didn’t have children”? .
