My mother in law was the original working parent.
A busy mother of 4 active boys (like there’s any other kind, no?), she (and my father in law) worked full time, and, even managed to cook a hot breakfast every morning, was involved with school, and, somewhere along the line, was even the president of the Jaycees.
I was out of town recently, and, she came up to help my husband with the kids.
Last Thursday was a particularly hectic day, so, we really needed her.
When she left, she said, “I have no idea how you do this with you both working.”
